Michael Lanza
Head of Operations & Chief Pilot
Mike is Head of Operations and Chief Pilot of Melbourne Flight Academy Pty Ltd trading as Australian Aeronautical Academy.
Mike has extensive charter experience in Piper Chieftains and Cessna 400 series aircraft as well as in the King Air B200 and C90 series aircraft doing charter throughout the South Pacific. Mike was instrumental in running the first Chinese Airline Course in Victoria. Mike was seconded to RMIT from General Flying Services (now CAE Oxford) to run the Chinese program at RMIT Flight Training Point Cook.
Mike also helped set up the AOC for Interair Flight Charter and Flight Training in 2003 where he was CFI and Chief Pilot. Mike then went on to set up Moorabbin Flight Training Academy at Mangalore, the largest flight training school in Victoria which supported over 100 pilot cadets at any one time.
Mike is also currently a King Air 200 instructor with Ansett Aviation Training in Tullamarine.

Mark Duffy
Pilot, Instructor
Mark started his career as an avionics technician with the Royal Australian Airforce (RAAF) where he developed a strong passion to one day become a professional pilot. Along the way Mark has had extensive experience in high tech industry and 10 years operating a business where he developed sound computer networking, business and project management skills.
Mark is currently a Grade 2 Flying instructor and Charter Pilot with Australian Aeronautical Academy (AAA) where he oversees the training and development of a number of students working from Ab-initio through to Commercial Pilot License standard at our Essendon and Barwon Heads bases.
